Rental Wheelchairs

Manual wheelchairs are available for campus deparments or students with temporary injuries, class projects, commencement, and specific educationally related activities for visitors

Rental Procedure

  • Call 217-333-4607 to make a reservation or e-mail Maureen Gilbert
  • Chairs are checked out from the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services, 1207 S. Oak St.
  • Students must bring a student ID with them
  • Check out is from 8:30am - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday; no weekend use except for Commencement
  • Chairs must be returned on the day they are checked out except for Commencement and prior approval for special events for departmental use
  • Cost: (cash or check only)
  • No cost for those students with a temporary injury or class assignment
  • $10 for commencement and all other events
